Old Columbans Trust ( OCT) was formed in April 2013 under the aegis of the Principal of St Columbas School with the prime objective of assisting the School with Funds, Amenities and Inputs from the Alumni in achieving both its short term and long term objectives of Excellence in Education.

Mission statement

The main objective of the OLD COLUMBANS TRUST is “Being Charitable”, its scope being – Some of the provisions pertaining to ST COLUMBAS SCHOOL, it’s staff, students and alumni are mentioned below-

  • To accept, solicit and request for donations, contributions, subscriptions, grants, gifts, devices, and bequests from the Donors or any other person, firm corporation, society, or institution interested in supporting their Alma Mater through the Trust.
  • The Trust can take up projects within the school premises to alter, extend, improve, repair, enlarge or modify existing buildings, playgrounds and to equip them with light water supply, drainage, furniture, fittings, instruments, apparatus, and any other necessary requirement.
  • To aid and support an educational scholarship for the benefit of poor and needy students of, or for studying in ST COLUMBAS SCHOOL and support other needy students
  • To provide financial help, scholarships, prizes, stipends, loans, grants for promotion of Education, Literature, Sports, Science and Fine Arts.
  • The Trust can support financially and award remuneration, pension, gratuities or charitable aid to former teachers, staff and former students of ST COLUMBAS SCHOOL and/or their wives, children and other relatives or dependents to make payments towards insurance to benefit the aforesaid persons.
  • To hold seminars, arrange lectures, conferences, exhibitions, or other meetings for dissemination of knowledge and advancement of humanities, culture, science and fine arts.
