Old Columbans Trust ( OCT) was formed in April 2013 under the aegis of the Principal of St Columbas School with the prime objective of assisting the School with Funds, Amenities and Inputs from the Alumni in achieving both its short term and long term objectives of Excellence in Education.

St_Columbas_School_Senior_BuildingOld Columbans Trust ( OCT) was formed in April 2013 under the aegis of the Principal of St Columbas School with the prime objective of assisting the School with Funds, Amenities and Inputs from the Alumni in achieving both its short term and long term objectives of Excellence in Education and providing the Students of the School and the Staff the amenities to pursue their dreams and their responsibilities with passion and vigor.

The Trust has 8 Permanent Trustees who will hold their post for 10 years.

In December 2013, the Trust has received the statutory notification from the Income Tax authorities declaring it as a Charitable Trust under Section 12A and has also obtained 80G exemption in June 2014.The donors will be eligible to get tax exemption on their donation to the Old Columbans Trust.

The statutory auditors of the Trust are ‘ Walker Chandiok and Company LLP.

Since its inception OCT has been involved in a host of charitable activities as decided by the School.

The OCT has launched a website http://www.COLUMBANWORLD.ORG where scanned copies of the School magazine are available. This effort has been lauded . The Trustees look forward to working in tandem with the OCA in fulfilling the needs of St Columbas School in achieving matching standards in Primary education through improvements in teaching aids, motivation to students by way of added facilities and opportunities and involvement of the Staff of the School
